Chapter 1
All hope lost. It happened so fast. I made it into the attic just before those things swarmed in from all directions. I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was a Tuesday night, work night, when I sat down to watch something on streaming before dozing off to sleep as usual, I heard an unbelievably unpleasant growling sounds coming from my driveway, followed by hellish screams of my neighbours. It wasn’t Halloween so I was naturally startled. I peered through the curtain when I locked eyes with a man, not quite the gruesome zombie but still with a crazed, dead animal like eyes staring straight at me. My mind was still processing what was going on. One thing about me was, I had a lightening speed reflex. Without thinking twice, I bolted to the hallway, quickly turned the lights off, pulled the attic ladder down and climbed in just before the random freshly bitten guy crashed into my living room.
